Tis the season of pumpkin spice everything. Most of the time I will avoid it at all costs. There are so many better and more interesting flavors of fall than just a sugary concoction that has become so dominate. However, every once in a while I will try something PSL if it peeks my interest. One such recipe was Jeni’s Pumpkin 5-spice Ice Cream.
I couldn’t resist. I have just roasted a pumpkin so the hard part was over. I went ahead and made up the ice cream. Again I added just a touch of food coloring because it wouldn’t be pumpkin ice cream without it being a little bit orange.
The ice cream was delicious but very rich. Paired with the right accents maybe the Persimmon Pudding Cake or the Cocoa Zin Ice Cream this will be a stellar flavor to add to my fall arsenal of flavors!
