Let’s get this out of the way… Not all blenders are created equal. When shopping for a blender there are tons of choices and prices to match. Trying to find the right blender can be difficult.
I started with cheap blenders. At the time they were enough to serve their purpose but always left me wanting. For something simple like a smoothie they seemed to work fine but if the fruit was too frozen or there was too much ice it could kill the motor after a while.
I then get the Kitchen Aid blender since I had had luck with other item from the brand. It did better with purées, soups, and smoothies but after blowing the top off and spraying hot plum purée up my cabinets I knew there had to be a better answer. The other issue was with soups it never got them perfectly smooth.
After having tried a few Breville products I started reading about their blender. Their top of the line blender “The Breville Boss Blender” addressed everything I needed it to be able to do in the kitchen. Another key element to their design was both the squared pitcher which helps foods from just getting pushed to the sides and staying there when it’s on and the two blade design which both pushes the foods up and pulls them down.
The more I read about the design and watched with videos I knew this was seeming promising. Then I learned of one more key design element. The venting lid! This allows steam to escape without food blowing out the top! At this point I knew it was worth the investment and time to upgrade. Yes, it’s pricey. It costs $400 but the performance is well worth it if you do a lot of sauces, soups, smoothies, and other blending type things. It can even mill grain into flour!
Once I got it and started putting it though it’s paces I quickly discovered this was the blender I should have been using all this time. The performance is everything I could hope for. It makes velvety smooth soups and sauces and I can put them in piping hot and there’s no blow-out!
If you’re in the market for a new blender and can afford the cost this one will NOT let you down!
